So I’ve been a little off on my posting schedule the last week or so–not because I have a shortage of recipe ideas (I have plenty of recipes waiting to be blogged about), but because I spent last weekend in Dallas with my brothers.

That’s right. We went to Medieval Times.  A little different, but hey! It’s where we wanted to go (and also, I had never been).

Anyway, it was fun, but I got behind on my blogging, and missed a post or two as a result.  The weekend wasn’t a total loss for Cook on a Shoestring, however.  Medieval Times puts more food in front of you than your grandmother at Thanksgiving dinner.  The meal was fantastic, and I came away with some new inspirations for recipes to come.
